Training doesn’t work. Managers often don’t appreciate how challenging it is to create effective learning opportunities. They expect training courses to be available immediately and delivered with minimum disruption. Spurred on by their managers, trainers try to push as much information into students as possible, just to cover the course content. They don’t appreciate that the students can’t handle it.
